SUMMARY:Scaletales: Spirrizzi’s Reptile Rescue
DESCRIPTION:Why Scaletales Is One of the Most Exciting Programs We Offer\nEach year when fall rolls around\, one program always seems to generate big excitement at the Blue Island Park District—Scaletales\, presented by our partners at Spirrizzi’s Reptile Rescue. \nThis five-week class offers kids ages 5 to 12 the chance to meet live rescued reptiles and amphibians\, learn about their ecosystems\, and explore how we can help protect them. But what really sets it apart is how interactive it is—children get to observe\, touch\, and even help care for some of the animals under the guidance of trained educators. \nStarting Monday\, October 27\, we’ll host these sessions every week through November 24 at Memorial Park Banquet Hall\, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.. With a cost of just $20 for residents and $25 for non-residents\, Scaletales is both affordable and enriching. \nWhat I love most is the way this program makes science real. When a child holds a turtle or watches a lizard eat\, that moment sticks. It turns curiosity into care—and that’s the kind of lesson we hope lasts a lifetime. \nSpirrizzi’s team brings tremendous knowledge\, safety\, and enthusiasm to every session. They’re wonderful with children and help make this a highlight of our fall season. \nIf your child is fascinated by animals\, give them a chance to go beyond the screen and discover the real thing. We can’t wait to welcome your family to Scaletales! \n—Ted Ruthenberg\nExecutive Director\, Blue Island Park District
