SUMMARY:Scaletales: Spirrizzi’s Reptile Rescue
DESCRIPTION:Why Scaletales Is One of the Most Exciting Programs We Offer\nEach year when fall rolls around\, one program always seems to generate big excitement at the Blue Island Park District—Scaletales\, presented by our partners at Spirrizzi’s Reptile Rescue. \nThis five-week class offers kids ages 5 to 12 the chance to meet live rescued reptiles and amphibians\, learn about their ecosystems\, and explore how we can help protect them. But what really sets it apart is how interactive it is—children get to observe\, touch\, and even help care for some of the animals under the guidance of trained educators. \nStarting Monday\, October 27\, we’ll host these sessions every week through November 24 at Memorial Park Banquet Hall\, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.. With a cost of just $20 for residents and $25 for non-residents\, Scaletales is both affordable and enriching. \nWhat I love most is the way this program makes science real. When a child holds a turtle or watches a lizard eat\, that moment sticks. It turns curiosity into care—and that’s the kind of lesson we hope lasts a lifetime. \nSpirrizzi’s team brings tremendous knowledge\, safety\, and enthusiasm to every session. I’m proud to announce that the Blue Island Park District’s Men’s Soccer League is returning this fall! \nThis league is specifically designed for men ages 35 and up\, offering a low-pressure\, high-energy way to stay fit\, meet new people\, and reignite your love of soccer. Whether you’re brushing up on your skills or playing for the first time in years\, our format—shorter game periods and supportive play—means anyone can jump in. \nGames are every Monday night from 7 to 9 PM at Kerr Middle School\, starting October 6 and running through April 27. That’s nearly seven months of fun\, fitness\, and friendly competition. \nWhat I love about this program is how it brings people together.
