Trunk or Treat

Trunk or Treat: A Sweet Celebration for the Whole Community
There’s something magical about the way Blue Island shows up for Halloween—and Trunk or Treat is one of the best examples of that spirit.
On Saturday, October 25 from 2 to 6 PM, we’re inviting the entire community to Memorial Park for our annual Trunk or Treat event. It’s fun, safe, and free—and I guarantee you’ll leave with more than just a bag of candy.
For those who haven’t been before, Trunk or Treat brings together local businesses, schools, and organizations to decorate their trunks and hand out candy to costumed kids and families. It’s a great chance for groups to connect with the community, show their Halloween creativity, and promote what they do—all while giving kids a safe place to enjoy the holiday.
We’ll also have food vendors on-site, fun activities, and the kind of community connection that makes events like this so memorable.
Admission is free, and all ages are welcome. If you’re part of a group that wants to join the fun and host a trunk, please reach out to lmontoya@blueislandparks.org to sign up. We’d love to have you.
As always, the Blue Island Park District is proud to create spaces where families can come together and celebrate what makes our town special. I hope to see you—costume and all—on October 25.
