Pumpkin Carving & S’mores

Pumpkin Fun Without the Cleanup? Count Me In!
If you’re anything like me, you love the idea of pumpkin carving—until you remember the cleanup! That’s why I’m so excited to invite you to our Pumpkin Carving & S’mores Night at the Blue Island Park District on Friday, October 24 at 7 PM.
We’ve taken care of everything for you: the pumpkins, the carving tools, the cleanup—and even the s’mores! Each child participant will receive their own pumpkin to carve with family support, and after the designs are done, we’ll gather for warm, gooey treats and spooky stories shared by the Blue Island Library.
This event really captures what we love about fall—creativity, connection, and cozy moments with the ones we care about. It’s low-cost, low-stress, and high fun!
The cost is just $10 per family for residents and $12 for non-residents, and all we ask is that an adult accompanies each child. We’ll handle the rest.
There’s something special about being together in a shared space, watching kids show off their pumpkin designs and listening to a good story with marshmallows in hand. Events like these bring our community closer and make seasonal traditions easier to enjoy.
So, bring your best ideas and a big smile—we’ll bring the pumpkins and the fire.
See you at Memorial Park!
