Established in 2010, Memorial Park Community Garden is a wonderful place to garden. Whether you’re just starting out or are an experienced gardener, Blue Island Park District invites you to join our Community Garden.

Plot Availability: April 1st 2022 to October 31st 2022
Available to members from sun up to sun down 7 days a week
Limit 2 plots per gardener based upon availability. Fees are due in full at the time of registration.

8 x 4 feet $ 20.00 $ 25.00
Lost Key Fee: $ 10.00 $ 10.00
- The garden is located behind the pool before the tracks
- Beds are 4’x10′
- Soil is amended yearly
- MPCG is open from March 1st until October31st
- Gardening is from dawn to dusk
- A water source is close by
- Limited amount of tools are provided as well as seeds and seedlings
- Garden Coordinator and other gardeners are available for any questions that come up
- End of season garden party
- Extra produce is donated to local food pantries
