

Monday Family Movie Nights
Monday nights are for families! Enjoy a comfortable evening with your family at the park. Let the Park District host your family on the first Monday of the month. In addition to that, each night we will host a special theme with family-friendly activities and prizes. All Movies are held at the Memorial Park Pavilion.
Kung fu Panda 2
June 4 â Â 8:30pm Movie – 7:30pm Demonstration
Arrive early for a free lesson in Self-defense/Jujitsu and an amazing demonstration on martial arts with the renown Master David Cervantes. All youth participants will be entered into a drawing for a free session of Self-defense classes at the Blue Island Park District. Please wear loose fitting clothing to participate in demonstrations.
Toy Story 3
July 2 – 8:30pm sunset
Participants are encouraged to bring their favorite toy for the viewing of this film.
Ever feel like some of your older toys arenât receiving enough love? Â Donate the toys that youâve outgrown for a chance to win some awesome prizes. Each donated toy can be exchanged for a raffle ticket. After the Movie, The Park District will raffle off an abundance of pool passes to our Memorial Park Pool. All Donated toys will be donated to the Salvation Army.
Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides

Ahoy! thar bucko! Are you interested in joinin’ us for a night o’ pirate themed adventure? This movie night has gone under siege by Pirates! As they say, âIf you canât beat âem, join âemâ. Come dressed as a pirate to our  final installment of our Monday Movie Nights. All pirate or nautical themed participants will receive a SUNKEN TREASURE MAP that can be used to find one of the amazing prizes hidden somewhere on the Memorial Park property. The Treasure hunt will start after the end of the viewing. Participants of the park treasure hunt are encouraged to bring a flashlight.

All movie start times are scheduled to commence at the projected sunset time. Arrive early for preferred seating. Times will be subject to daylight. All movie night admissions are free.
Daddy and Daughter Dance
Dress up, take pictures and dance the night away! Enjoy dancing to all types of music, a dance contest, refreshments, and activities. Remember dads, theyâre never too old to be your little girls.

YARD SALE

The Blue Island Park District will host two outdoor yard sales this summer. Â Booth registrations are taken at the Memorial Park Field House during office hours. Registrations will be taken on a first come, first served basis. There is no admission fee to shop our sale.

Splash for Ca$h
Dive into some fun this summer at the Memorial Park Pool. Participants of Splash 4 Cash will race against time and other opponents to collect as many sunken tokens as they can. Tokens can be redeemed for awesome prizes including food, snacks and….CASH!!! Participation includes entry to our poolâs evening swim session.

Cardboard Boat Regatta
What sounds crazier than making a boat out of cardboard? Making a race out of it! Prepare for the ultimate race of champions. Men and women alike from all parts of the globe will converge on this day at the Memorial Park Pool with their hand crafted vessels made from a short list of regulated materials. Few will taste victory, most all will get wet.

Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt
The hunt in the park starts when it gets dark. Make ready your flashlights and Easter baskets for this yearâs flashlight Easter egg hunt. Participants will rely on their flashlights to search for an abundance of eggs hidden by the Easter Bunny and his helpers.

Easter Egg Hunt
For the younger ones, this daytime Easter egg hunt will take place during daylight hours. Donât let the time of day fool you, these eggs will be just as well hidden as any other time.
There will be two hunts. The first hunt will be a parent assisted hunt followed by a child only hunt. Â You may only pick one out of the two.
