Blue Island’s Dog Park

Description

Give your best buddy in fur the play time he or she deserves. The Blue Island Park District’s Bark Park may be the perfect solution to increase your dog’s social and active lifestyle. Our Bark Park features a double gated entry point, activity modules, a water source, a small dog area, benches for the parents, complimentary litter bags, and plenty of trees for…um…sniffing. Dogs of all sizes can find an escape from the ordinary at this park just for dogs (parents are welcome of course). Entry to the Blue Island Bark Park requires membership.Yearly Memberships may be acquired at the Blue Island Park District registration office. Proof of up-to-date vaccinations including Distemper, Parvo, Bordatella, and Rabies certificate are required. A copy of your dog’s registration documents or city animal license are required. A Bark Park membership I.D. and gate key will be provided upon completion of registration. Membership to the Blue Island Park District Bark Park is for the entirety of a calendar year (April to March).

2017 - 2018 Bark Park Waiver Form

A completed Waiver Form and all of the required documents will be required prior to completing your Bark Park Membership. Forms must be turned in at the Blue Island Park District Registration Office located at 12804 S. Highland Ave. Blue Island, Illinois. Bark Park Photo Contest

We’d like to make one Bark Park member the “face” of the Blue Island Park District’s Bark Park Member IDs for the upcoming season. Each season, registered Bark Park members receive a Member ID Tag along with their registration and key. This year, you are invited to submit a photo of your dog for a chance to be selected as this years ID tag model. Participation is free and easy, here’s how….

How to Enter

Contest Rules

The contest is open to the public. No purchase is necessary. 

All entrants represent and warrant that any material that he or she submits is original, has not been previously published or won an award, does not infringe upon the copyright or any other right or interest of any other person or organization, and that the entrant has not previously granted any rights to such material to any other person or organization, nor does any third party have any interest in such materials. Images must not contain language or images that are in any way threatening, abusive, offensive, defamatory, invasive of another’s privacy, in breach of confidence, embarrassing to any person or likely to deceive any person, hateful, blasphemous, pornographic, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable or which constitutes or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offense or otherwise contrary to any law or appear contrary to the spirit of the Contest.

All photos become the property of the Blue Island Park District. Winning photos may be published on any social media pages and on the BIPD web site at www.blueislandparks.org, as well as used in promotions of future BIPD photo contests.

The Blue Island Park District will not be held responsible for any entry under any circumstances.

Entries must be high-resolution digital photos. Each entry must have the name, address, and phone number, and the breed of dog(s). Entries must not include humans. Entries received without this information will not be considered.

BIPD has the right to disqualify any entries that it deems not to meet the criteria, or due to technical, legal, or other problems, as determined by The Blue Island Park District at its sole discretion. Judges appointed by the Blue Island Park District will select the winners based on the quality of the photograph, composition, originality, and appeal. Judges’ decisions are final and binding with respect to all matters relating to this contest. The winners will be notified by phone, or e-mail, and the photo will be shared through social media.

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS CONTEST. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING.

Prize

Winner of the Bark Park Photo Contest will receive a free Bark Park Membership for 2017.

You must redeem your prize by April 31st, 2017.

*Winner must come to the Memorial Park Field House, located at 12804 S. Highland Ave. Blue Island, IL 60406 with a copy of your dog’s up-to-date vaccination records and city tags/animal license. Please note that you are also allowed to pre-register when pre-registration opens later this year.  Please call the office to find out when pre-registration dates begin.
