Description
Show off your family’s holiday decorating skills by entering the Blue Island Park District’s Holiday Lights Contest! It’s FREE for Blue Island residents, with Home Depot gift cards as prizes. You must register in advance to participate, and there’s just one rule: all lights and decorations must be put in place by you and your family members – no hiring professionals!
Details
Entry Deadline: 4:00 pm, December 10th, 2021
Judging: Judging will take place between the hours of 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm on December 16, 2021. Decorations must be lit during these hours.
Judging: A panel of Judges will score each home based on originality, lighting, arrangements, and creativity.
Prizes: Prizes will be awarded after December 17, 2021. Winners will also be acknowledged with an 18″ x 24″ yard sign which must be posted visibly to the public.
Rules: Decorations must be installed by the participant. No professional installations will be accepted.
Limit one entry per Blue Island address.
Limited to Blue Island Residential addresses only.
Participants must provide permission to capture and share images of your entry on the Blue Island Park District’s website, social media accounts, and all other marketing related needs relating to the Holiday Lights Contest.
