Under the supervision of the Concessions Manager, concessions workers will be responsible for the preparation and selling of food as well as handling payments for concessions. Concessions workers must complete a Food Safety course upon hiring. Workers are also expected to produce accurate sale reports at the end of each shift.
Under the supervision of the Director of Day Camp, camp counselors will be expected to lead day camp participants in engaging activities, respond to day campers’ need, take attendance, and ensure the safety of participants.
Under the supervision of the Security Supervisor, security officers will be expected to oversee general park safety, lock and open gates, and respond to patron concerns as needed. Security officers will fulfill duties at multiple parks throughout Blue Island.
Under the supervision of the Pool Manager, lifeguards will be responsible for ensuring a safe water environment through diligence to the water in addition to training upkeep. Lifeguards are also responsible for facility cleanliness and basic maintenance of the pool and splash pad.
Under the supervision of the Swim Lesson Manager, swim instructors will be responsible for preparing and instructing swim lessons for all ages dependent on the level assignment. Swim instructors will also be responsible for the safety of participants and determining if a child must retake the level or advance to the next.
Under the supervision of the Pool Manager, pool cashiers will responsible for admitting persons into the pool and handling payments. At the end of each shift, pool cashiers will be responsible for completing accurate sales reports.

Volunteer hours are available on a first come, first served basis.
Volunteers over the age of 18 will are subject to a background check.
All volunteers must submit a Volunteer Waiver Form before the first day of service.
